When Elijah was about two years old, we would walk/run the trails and people would see him just going and going, and they say things like, “I bet he’ll sleep good tonight!” Little did they know he was always running. He slept less and woke up earlier than any kid I’d known. When I was a teacher and the school would have me fill out evaluation surveys for kids, one of the questions would say “moves as if driven by a motor” 😆 and I never really understood what that meant until I had my Lijey. He’d wake up early in the morning, sometimes in the middle of the night running. Anybody who knows Elijah knows that his special interest has been Sonic the hedgehog since he was three years old. Sonic everything all the time. But the main thing he loves about him is that he’s fast. We tried out this race that the boys heard about and seeing Elijah just way ahead of the other boys to the point that he was looking backward to see where they were 😆 well I had to try not to tear up because autism is hard as crap sometimes and exhausting when that driven by a motor-ness just doesn’t turn off. So to see my boy just in his element, well that was one of the proudest moments for me, ever. 💙🏃

Easter weekend
kicked off the Boys first soccer game and we turned that for Saturday’s full celebration with resurrection cake at home.
beautiful moment
At church Blue Ridge Community Church had a special service which after worship , myself along with few others had the opportunity to read John 20:11–15 in differently languages; German , Thailand , English. I read it in Haitian Creole. This was actually the first time ever reading the word in Creole (normally it’s French). Now the sun is out, the weekend actually settling in. ✨🙏🏿
