I don’t know what’s going on in the world right now all this negativity going on, especially between brothers who were blessed with a chance most people can only dream about. A lot of years in, and we’re still hitting new milestones.
Honored to share that “Heaven in the Darkest Place,” a song I wrote with the amazing and talented @chloetemtchine ,has just earned an Honorable Mention in the 2025 International Songwriting Competition a win not just for us, but for the entire Transplant community.💪🏾🤲🏾💙💚
Chloe, a double‑lung transplant recipient, and me a kidney transplant recipient and donor dad poured our lived experiences into this record. That journey is what inspired the song, and this recognition means a lot.
Thank you to everyone who voted, supported, and believed in the message. And thank you to @intlsongcompetition for the acknowledgment.
