One week ago on May Day, over 5,000 workers came together to ratify the Working People’s Vision for Philadelphia — a vision for a better, more equitable, and more just city. Now, it is time to fight to make that vision a reality. The last 250 years were for the billionaires. The next 250 years are for us. Thank you @rayephoto and @beaumondeoriginals for helping us capture the day!

🎬 Check out what Ajia, a senior at Olney HS had to say about our recent Union Experience Fair! Our transformative UEFs connect Philadelphia students, families and communities to well paying, family sustaining careers. In 2026 alone, we’ve engaged over 1600 students and introduced them to the union difference! There are still plenty of opportunities for Philly labor to participate in an upcoming UEF! Learn more and sign up 🔗 bit.ly/PHL-UnionExperienceFairs 🎥 Credit- Sway Creations ————————————— More About Union Experience Fairs: Union Experience Fairs (UEF) offer us the chance to empower students and our communities by connecting them with union leaders who can inspire, educate, and increase their access to union careers. This innovative opportunity allows us to connect with K-12 students and community members across Philadelphia to explore pathways to family-sustaining union careers. UEF features representatives from various unions in the building and construction trades, public, and private sectors in various industries.  Activities at these events may include:    🛠️Career fair    🏫Classroom discussion    🗣️Panel discussion    👷Union Hall tour    🧰In-class projects    ✨and much more!

On May Day, our union sister Suzie reminded us that there are billionaires throughout Philadelphia defunding and undermining Philly’s workers. We know that nobody is coming to save the working class, it’s time that we do it ourselves ✊ In Suzie’s words: “Solidarity forever and go birds”

The Shubert Organization had it comin’ 🎶🪧 Tonight, we’re joining our @local_77274_afm siblings on the picket line outside of the Forrest Theatre for Chicago’s opening night. Forrest Theatre and its owner, the Shubert Organization, fired 100% of the union musicians they originally hired for the musical’s Philly run. Philly is a union town and tonight we’re making sure the Shubert Organization knows that union-busting doesn’t fly here. When Philly supports Broadway, Broadway better support Philly ✊
