strangeness, the word takes on a different meaning depending on who is speaking—the city dweller who arrives here, the one who has moved to a new region, or the one who dreams of going elsewhere.

The “capacity series” came out of the need to open the studio to the outside. The studio for me is working like a grotto space that works as a rudimentary architectural structure to protect the inside. Those series are portraits of this inner life of this bubble. Each of them starts with a certain view into that space. A view on objects that occupied that space. A view on dirt,dust,electricity plugs or tools and a view on the inner walls. The representational aspects then can turn into something abstract and goes deeper than words.
