It´s done - Thor´s Hammer ✅ After falling on the last move and resting two days, I came back with better beta — and clipped the chains in worse conditions. Thor’s Hammer is one of the most legendary lines in Flatanger 🇳🇴. First climbed by Adam Ondra in 2012, it quickly became an iconic testpiece. I had already heard about it as a kid and dreamed of one day being strong enough to try. Living that dream now feels surreal — and it’s almost bittersweet to finish such a beautiful route🥲. This send also marks a true breaking point in my climbing career. After a 3-year break due to a finger injury, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever come back stronger. Thor’s Hammer showed me that I did💪. About the grade: after sending and also discussing with others, I feel Thor’s Hammer stands a level above the other 9a’s in Flatanger. The Darth Grader breakdown also points in that direction. For me, Crux 1 alone felt much harder than boulders like Traumschiff (8B+ fb ≈ hard 9a route). At the same time, the bouldery style of the route — with rests between the blocs — fits me quite well, which is probably why I managed to make it work. That’s why my personal take is 9a+ soft. With more experience in the grade, I might adjust my opinion — but right now, that’s how it feels. German Lead Nationals 🥉🇩🇪 This weekend reminded me once again why I love competition climbing — giving everything on the wall in front of an amazing crowd 👊🏼 and fighting for the title 😄. When walking out for the finals presentation, I almost had tears of joy in my eyes — after years of injury and the disappointment from last season, it meant so much to finally stand in a nationals final again🥹. After my success on Thor’s Hammer, it was another confirmation that I’ve come back stronger than before. Still, there’s room to improve — semis showed that I can get better on small open-hand holds with poor feet in steep terrain, and I also made a small clipping mistake in finals. Now, five days later, my body still feels pretty drained — probably because I was competing while sick. Hopefully I can recover quickly to get back into training and be ready for my last comp of the season — the European Cup in Toulouse! 🇫🇷🔥 📸 DAV / @pvekla

Last Man Standing 🥇 x2 Ninja Warrior Germany 🏆❌ Ich habe alles gegeben und bin trotzdem am großen Ziel gescheitert. Der Mount hat mich erneut geschlagen 😤. 🗻 Jedes Jahr frage ich mich, wie lange ich noch mit den Ninjas mithalten kann… und jedes Jahr lautet die Antwort: Du kannst es. Und wie! ⚔️🔥 Der Titel bedeutet mir trotzdem unglaublich viel. Ich durfte der beste Ninja der Staffel sein, eine Leistung, auf die ich stolz sein kann. 💪✨ Am Ende hat nur ein Schritt gefehlt. Ich fühlte mich gut, auch wenn der Tag extrem anstrengend war und ich kurz vor dem Start einen Unterarmkrampf bekommen habe, der nicht aufhören wollte zu zucken. Nach 15 Minuten Verzögerung bin ich trotzdem gestartet und war in einem guten Tempo unterwegs. Hätte ich dieses Tempo durchgezogen – wie z. B. in der Vorrunde letztes Jahr – wäre der Mount möglich gewesen. Ein Spiel auf der Messerklinge zwischen Risiko und Sicherheit. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Danke an alle, die mich unterstützt haben – besonders an meinen Mount-Trainingsbuddy @simi_brunner 🤝🔥und @selina.schwemmer ❤️. Lead selections 2026 🧗‍♂️ This one hit hard. After the first selection didn’t go my way, I was ready to turn things around in the second. I felt focused and hungry to deliver when it counts.💪🏻 Then I got sick the afternoon before the comp 🤒 Waking up the next day, I felt even worse and thought about not starting. But I knew I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t at least try. With no world ranking and a weak first result, I needed to take that chance. So I showed up anyway. It wasn’t my day. I didn’t feel like myself on the wall and couldn’t climb at the level I expect from myself. Not even close. Competition can be brutal. You have to deliver on the exact day it counts, no matter what. Still, these are the moments that matter. Showing up when it’s not ideal, taking responsibility, and learning from it. This season hasn’t gone my way so far, but that’s part of the process. Bouldering Nationals 🏆 Not sure what to take away from this one. A mix of fun and frustration 😵‍💫 The semifinal was brutal and hardly allowed anyone to show their true performance. In the end, 2 zones were enough for finals. I flashed one and was very close on the second. One small misgrab, 5 moves in, and no points. Still thinking about that 😤 This boulder season also fell right in the middle of my main goal, the lead selections and the preparation for it, which made it harder to really show my full potential. And just like that, the boulder season is over. With so few chances each year, it is tough to build routine and improve. Switching focus now. Good 2nd go on one of the German team selection routes. 🧗‍♂️ First go in the comp wasn’t it — didn’t find the flow and a small mistake spat me off. Came back the next day and climbed with flow and found some good rests. Almost finished it, second half basically onsight and without a chalk bag. 😅 Next selection in 4 weeks. Stage 3 ✅, 🥇 Ich gehe wieder an den Mount 🤩 und kann mir meinen großen Traum erfüllen. Es war ein sehr emotionaler Moment, auch wenn es nicht ganz so intensiv war wie beim 1. Mal – das 1. Mal bleibt einfach unvergesslich. Dieses Jahr war es auch nicht ganz so knapp. Jetzt heißt es die perfekte Balance zwischen Speed und Risiko finden, um den Mount zu bezwingen. Buzzer mit aktueller Bestzeit 🚨💥 Mit meiner Strategie, keine Pause zu machen, konnte ich mir bisher die Bestzeit sichern! 😎 Es geht aber sicher noch schneller – ich hab wie immer lieber ein paar extra Schwünge gemacht 😆 Wie fandet ihr meine Performance? Glaubt ihr, das reicht für die heutige Bestzeit und die 10.000 €? 💸🔥 Ich hatte mich sehr auf das Special gefreut, wurde aber leider enttäuscht. Der Parcours war sehr leicht und dadurch auch langweilig. Es gab keine wirklichen Herausforderungen – weder etwas, das richtig auf den Pump geht (z. B. wenn man länger beide Hände halten muss oder schlechtere Griffe hat), noch technisch anspruchsvolle Passagen. Zudem kann man überall auch außerhalb der Sitzstangen Pause machen.
