One of EDM’s finest, @francescalombardomusic visited #recordonestudios a week ago. She’s one of my all-time fav recording artists. What a force she is: producer, live performer, dj and philanthropist. I didn’t want the day to end, I had an absolute blast with her.
Music legend #quincyjones orchestrated two of his masterpieces at Record One: Back On the Block (1989) and Q’s Jook Joint (1995). Between these 2 albums, Quincy Jones won 9 Grammy Awards (7x Grammys in one night!). Here’s an updated version of Studio B + B Live Room - where Quincy Jones produced some of his best work. In this room, Mr. Jones conducted songs alongside legendary musicians: Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. Both albums were engineered by Bruce Swedien. I’ve been playing some of Quincy’s tracks in the studio for last 48 hours - they are simply masterful and to quote a line from one of his tracks, “That’s what music should sound like”. Quincy Jones’ music will forever resonate within these studio walls. RIP Maestro 🖤🎵🙏🏽
