I’m retiring the DS from my live set.
I’ve considered this carefully as it’s how a lot of you discovered my music in the first place but I’ve received feedback that it’s too annoying and people don’t like me shoving it in their faces at gigs.
It’s also very time-consuming, so at risk of full creative burnout, I will be moving to using generative AI @chatgpt to make all my music going forward instead. I’ve thought of some really sick prompts and I can’t wait for you all to hear!
This affects a few upcoming shows, such as Homebrew at the DBA on 16th April - a cute queer hangout/party where I WAS planning a full workshop on how to make your own DS music, even with multiple DSes loaded up with samples for you to have a go on. Maybe if you buy a ticket on RA now via link in bio I’ll have to still do that one?🤷🏻♀️
My last gig where I use the DS will be this Friday at Engine Rooms in London for @is_your_out_of_office_on . After this I will probably just bin it as I doubt they’re worth anything
