October has always been our month. Our favourite month, in fact.
āØMy momās birthday is October 2, mine is October 5 (we are exactly 30 years apart; 56/26 this year š„¹), my parentsā wedding anniversary is also October 5, and my brother rounds it out on October 31. Add a few close family and friends who share the same birth month, and October has always felt like one long celebration of love and life.
But October changed for us in 2022. That was the year my beautiful momma went to be with the Lord on the 8th, right in the middle of our favourite month, and we laid her to rest on October 21. At first, I didnāt know how to continue. Seeing as it was 3 days after my birthday, I wasnāt sure if I should still celebrate or mourn our loss. But knowing my momma, sheād probably hit my shoulder and say, āLIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND HAVE FUNā.
I sometimes joke that she must have loved October so much she chose to make it her final resting seasonš. Still, if wishes were horsesā¦
Three years later, October still carries both laughter and tears. Itās a month that reminds me of love, legacy, and the quiet strength she left behind in all of us.
And through it all, I want to say thank you. To everyone who still celebrates me, checks in, and sends birthday wishes. Your love never goes unnoticed. Every message, every call, every kind word helps me smile a little wider and remember that sheād want me to keep shining. āØ
October will always be our month, for the memories, for the love, and for her. š
And thatās a wrap for #october2025

These didnāt make the Day-Of cut, but they deserve their moment. Afterall, itās called birthday era, not a birthday dayššš
