I’m honored! I remember when my mother Virtue and the rest of the Hampton family (Slide, Maceo, Marcus, Aletra, Carmelita) was inducted. It was really cool to see them all together and be there for the ceremony. Never thought I would follow them in.
Two students, Gabriel Wade and Miles Smith both graduates of Northern Illinois University Jazz Program are semi finalist in the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Trumpet competition. Go Huskies Go!!!
