Never in a million years did I imagine I’d have the opportunity to participate — let alone perform — in the ARTS 2025 Showcase. Never in a trillion years could you have convinced me that in just one week I’d walk away with an intensive two-year scholarship to the Neighborhood Playhouse SCHOOL OF THEATRE in NYC, place 3rd in Improv, and leave with six+ connections to casting directors and agents alone.
This one week changed my life in ways I’m still trying to fully comprehend. Endless gratitude to the besties I met along the way — my new ARTS family 💛 — and to everyone who supported me before, during, and after this journey. I can’t wait to see what’s next… we’re just getting started, baby 😋✨

Words genuinely cannot express this past week. I cannot be any more grateful, excited, loved, overjoyed, accomplished, and proud of myself and everybody for being vulnerable and sharing their talents on stage in front of not only other contestants now turned family but also casting directors and Agents . This experience alone is a one in a lifetime experience to live through for the first time. I’d do it again over and over and over again until @applause_international tells me i can’t come back lol.
Genuinely wouldn’t be here without @catalentmgt seeing what she saw in me and inviting me to this amazing platform to show case what we have worked on for the past couple of months and giving me a platform to perform-that i have missed SOOOO MUCH!
This week was like an intensive performing arts workshop! Literally i couldn’t have learned or networked anymore than i did! (Knowing me i probably could) having the opportunity to learn and continue practicing my craft was truly something that re-enlightened that spark! I know who I am, MY craft, i know that I AM ENOUGH, i am more than capable of performing on tv or in the theaters. Every single one of us have a talent that can be used and showcased for the world! I would not have been in the room where it happens(get it!?!) if i didn’t have it in me.
I would love to formally re-introduce myself as Phajja Redwood an inspiring soon to be TV/Film actress and improver🤪 i am my own CEO, i am the product that agents and casting directors want. So therefore i will be portraying myself as such and continue to practice and work until i get to the stage or the films!
To all my lovely family and friends i have made over this week- i love yall so much and can’t wait to see yall in…. NEW YORK!?! Yeahhhhh! Let’s gooooooo! The friendships and connections i made this week have truly brought me to tears. I am so grateful!

Lastly and most importantly not least- i want to give ALL THE GLORY TO GOD! Without him i am NOTHING, without him I WOULDN’T BE HERE, without him I WOULDN’T HAVE THIS TALENT. With that being said God is my rock and we’re rolling from here on out.
As this year comes to a close, i decided to actually sit down and think about all of the things i have accomplished. I struggle with being still and taking time to recognize my accomplishments and completed goals. I forget that progress doesn’t come in any specific timeline. Looking back i didn’t even realize how much I’ve actually done this year until now. Everyday when i wake up and keep pushing is progress. This year has showed me that i can and will make it. But WITH GOD, fully and wholeheartedly he continues to show me that there is more to life than just trying to make it. I don’t always keep God first in my head, he’s there but not forefront as he should be. Even then, God has kept me, and allowed me to progress as this year flew bye. I owe my grateful and full heart to God.
Of course there have been good times and bad times this year but next year i want to put ME first. I want to love myself in the image God created me to be. Spending more time being intentional, present, happy and finding myself. Living life for ME and what i want to do. I’m tired of the world depicting my movements, truth is the world will never be what i want it to be, to make myself happy, i have to be happy in the world of chaos. Changing my thinking starts today💪🏽It’s only up from here for sure!
Mental clarity and an abundance of blessings will be my 2025 yr🙌🏾 there’s a lot of changes i want to make & mark my words i will do allat… if it’s Gods will ofc😂
