eeeeek my first cover story!!! 💎💐 For the October issue of Gay Times Magazine, not only did I orchestrate the entire social rollout (duh!), I also had v gay chat with @kingprincess69 – all about their latest album, owning their role as the villain and proudly identifying as a miserable bottom. THE POWER ISSUE!! Awful at posting my work on here but this is one of my all time faves 💗 Social rollout by yours truly x Art direction by @jackrowe_ - - - Shot in 2024, Lindsay Perryman’s short film ‘Tops’ is a visual meditation on the often overlooked experiences of Black transmasculinity. Set in their mother’s home, ‘Tops’ offers a rare moment of peace and intimacy, allowing Black transmasculinity to simply exist. In moments of quiet idleness, the models lounge together, reflecting a softness and healing that is often denied. Lindsay’s work romanticises the complexity of transness and Blackness, inspired by the profound love they felt following their post-op surgery. The non-binary trans photographer, whose project covers The Power Issue of Gay Times Magazine, boldly embraces the visibility of surgery scars, viewing them as symbols of survival and transformation. While debates about scar visibility persist, Lindsay believes these scars honour the body’s history and emotional healing, serving as a testament to resilience in an unforgiving world.
