today i turn 26!
i can’t lie and say the last year, or even years have really been too easy or without ups and downs
and honestly it culminated when i had to bury my dad a year ago on my birthday today.
as noble as it felt and right it sat with me spiritually in the moment, i really wasn’t looking forward to another birthday this year, because i felt like nothing i could do would alleviate the weight of what that was.
blah blah existential crises and a whole lot of time i had to think later with a great village and support system, im going into a new year of life (on my own insurance :(. ) but with so much to grow on and also look forward to.
i would love this to be a year where i talk about my life thus far, and just in general open back up.
i don’t like being an enigma to some, including myself.
isolating as a defense can leave you comfortable in that, and i hope as life continues to unwind and i share my story and vision that the totality of who i am inspires some and reminds others.
i owe so many a success story, i have so many people that have gotten me here and watch me go- and to that i promise you better communication, new music (soon), more career news, more beats, and more phil.
