Phone Eats First.
Seen way too often in today’s society, Technology has connected us in more ways than ever possible but is constantly disconnecting us from experiencing the real world and fully taking in and appreciating a moment as we rush to record, and share.
~
It’s almost as if we are living to share our experiences, rather than living to experience, and sharing.
~
Photography is meditation for me, I’m behind the lens yet conscious not to be living through the viewfinder. Really taking in a moment before I capture it as these are my memories too.
~
This was my third or fourth time seeing the Mona Lisa but it was extra special as I was with my mom and it was her first. (Her hand featured far right) All of the people you see pictured in this photo waited in lines for 30 minutes to an hour, just to get into the Louvre, and then did a snake line for 45 minutes to get in front of the Mona Lisa, just to take the picture. We walked up on the side and stood there looking at Miss Lisa for 10 minutes and then I took my photos.

I left Kyoto just before lunch and missed my train to Fuji.. 5 hours later, I arrived in the area with no taxis around at the local station. I then took off toward the famed Chureito Pagoda and had to basically run up if I was going to catch sunset as it was getting darker. My luggage got heavy fast. I knew I had to drop the extra weight or I wouldn’t make it- so I ditched it just off the side of the steps! Good thing the Japanese people are the nicest and most respectful I’ve ever met because my luggage was still hanging by itself when I got back! The onsen afterward made my legs feel much better from the the workout... Definitely have to get back to the Fuji area, it’s amazing! 🗻
