We celebrated a major moment for Prince George’s County. Thank you to Caleb Gould and the teams at Konterra, Gould Property Company and Caruso Homes for seeing more than an empty lot. You saw a community ready to grow. This new 400‑acre walkable downtown will change how we live, work and play. We are standing in the center of Maryland, and soon this will be a place where families thrive and new businesses take root. The Marais Townhomes and surrounding mixed‑use spaces are giving this longtime meeting point a real heartbeat. This means more jobs, stronger support for our schools and a destination the entire region will enjoy. This project is about legacy, vision and partnership. It is an investment in the future of Prince George’s County. #elevateprincegeorges

Thank you to everyone who joined early‑morning pit stops, supported local cycling groups and helped make today a celebration of movement and community pride. Let’s keep the momentum going. Prince George’s County, welcome to Preakness Week. Today I hit Main Street in Laurel with Mayor Keith Sydnor to kick things off, and our community showed out in the best way. The food, the culture, the history and the people are what make this county shine, and these businesses brought all the energy. • Caribe Express @caribeexpressllc — Fresh, bold, made‑from‑scratch Caribbean flavor that hits the moment you walk in. Sean and his team are serving up food with heart, and you can taste it in every bite. • El Buen Gusto Panaderia — From warm tamales to pan dulce to the softest Tres Leches cake, this bakery is a true taste of Latin American tradition. The smells alone could stop traffic on Main Street. • White’s Barbershop Co. — More than a barbershop. It’s community, culture and connection all in one space. Brian has built a place where people feel seen, supported and at home. These businesses represent the spirit of Prince George’s County; creative, resilient, rooted in culture and ready for the spotlight as we head into Preakness on May 16. Let’s support our restaurants, our shops and our local entrepreneurs all week long. This is how PG County celebrates Preakness. #ElevatePrinceGeorges #PreaknessWeek #LaurelMD #PGCStrong #MarylandTradition

The Taste of Preakness Brunch was a whole vibe. I had the best time celebrating our county’s rich racing traditions, incredible food and the amazing people who make moments like this feel special. A huge thank‑you to First Lady @dawnflythemoore for bringing her energy, her grace and her love for Maryland’s history to this celebration. Prince George’s County showed up with flavor, style and pride. From the chefs to the small businesses to the community members who came out, this brunch reminded me why our county shines during Preakness season. We’re carrying this excitement straight into the weekend. Preakness is almost here, and PG County is more than ready. #elevateprincegeorges #preakness

I toured Belair Mansion and stepped into the rich history that shaped horse racing in Prince George’s County. This is where champions were trained and where African American grooms, riders and trainers built a legacy that still inspires us. As we get ready for Preakness on Saturday, I’m proud to celebrate the traditions that started right here in our county. Our businesses and restaurants are joining in the excitement, and the energy is building across Prince George’s. Our history runs deep. Our pride runs strong. And we are ready for Preakness. #ElevatePrinceGeorges #Preakness #PGCHistory #MarylandTradition

We stood on sacred ground, a place where silence hid the truth for more than a century. The woods of Cheltenham hold the stories of children who were never given the chance to grow, to dream or to be loved as they deserved. With this marker, we break that silence. We honor the 230 children whose lives were taken, whose names and humanity were denied. Their stories matter. Their lives mattered. And we say so publicly, powerfully and without hesitation. This unveiling is not just remembrance. It is a promise; that we will never again allow their history to be buried, ignored or forgotten. You are seen. You are remembered. You are honored. #elevateprincegeorges

You Matter, PG Students 💛 Mental Health Day is all about reminding our young people that they are supported, seen and heard. Your feelings are real. Your voice matters. And your well‑being comes first. Take a moment to breathe, connect and check in with yourself. You are important to this community, and there are people here who care about you, believe in you and want to see you thrive. To every student: You matter. Your story matters. Your future matters. We’re proud of you, and we’re here for you; today and every day. #elevateprincegeorges
