Long exposure // Grainy Rainy days
I’ve been working on this stylized approach on and off for the past few years—mainly in the rain. I post them to my other account @doyerstreet (pseudonym: Vivian Winogrand). These are several from last attempt—always handheld w/ slow shutter speed around 1/10 sec.

The kindest person that I’ve ever known was a combat veteran. I cannot recall him saying a negative word about anyone. He had a heart of gold and chose to see the best in every single day. Maybe that was because he knew what a bad day truly was. I was informed that he was still experiencing nightmares 70 years after his time on the front lines of Okinawa.
Thank you to all of those who have served and the veterans who continue to carry that residual weight of combat. 🇺🇸
