It’s a scary time. And we know that the Texas Supreme Court decision has created additional fear and anxiety for trans people and their loved ones. We want to be clear: PFLAG National has always been steadfast that we would not turn over our members’ names or identities to the State of Texas. And last week, after two years of litigation, the Texas Supreme Court agreed, making it crystal clear that PFLAG National can continue protecting information about our members’ identities, that the Office of the Attorney General is not above the law, and its actions are subject to meaningful review by the courts. Even though PFLAG is required to turn over documents that respond to these demands, that does not include information identifying PFLAG members or their families. We have been unwavering in our commitment to protecting our members’ rights to come together without violating their privacy or identities being revealed. PFLAG has always been clear on that point and that has not changed. It never will, and we will never back down. We’ve got you.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: The Senate is starting debate on a dangerous voter suppression bill that would disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans. We must act NOW to stop this attack. The so-called “SAVE” Act would make it harder for millions of Americans to cast their votes—especially LGBTQ+ voters, military voters, Tribal voters, rural voters, and tens of millions of married women and transgender individuals—while sowing disinformation about election integrity. The bill would require every single American citizen to provide very specific documents, such as a passport or birth certificate, in person when registering to vote or updating their voter registration. And if that wasn’t enough, due to pressure from the President, some Senators are trying to add anti-trans provisions to this already terrible bill that would target transgender youth. Join us in protecting the right to vote. Urge your senators to vote NO on the SAVE Act and to reject any anti-transgender amendments today at the link in our bio.

True family bonds are forged in acceptance, strengthened by love, and sealed with understanding. In partnership with LGBTQ+ orgs around the world, we’re uplifting the power of loving and accepting families. Love has no conditions. Family has no exceptions. Every child deserves to be celebrated exactly as they are.

Create a home where authenticity is treasured—pass it on! The best families are built on love, not expectations. In partnership with LGBTQ+ organizations around the world, we’re sharing the message that LOVE is what makes a family. Founded by a mother in support of her gay son, PFLAG National has been a champion of love and affirmation for LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones for over 50 years. At the heart of our mission is one universal truth: That all LGBTQ+ people deserve loving and affirming families, and that families who embrace their LGBTQ+ loved ones’ authenticity are all the stronger for it. 🏳️‍🌈 Happy International Day of Families to LGBTQ+ families worldwide!

The action of the Georgia legislature returning to the state capital to reduce Black voting representation is nothing short of racism and discrimination. In addition to states like Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and others that are working to erode Black voting rights, we condemn the efforts to return to the Jim Crow era. We’ll be joining the NAACP tonight to learn more about how we can fight—we hope you’ll join too! naacp.org/events/all-units-call-redistricting-next-steps or link in bio to register.

May 5 is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR). Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people face alarmingly high rates of violence and disappearance, yet their stories are too often ignored or erased. In solidarity with Native communities—and as part of our ongoing efforts to support and uplift our LGBTQ+ Indigenous loved ones—we encourage you to dive deeper, uplift Indigenous-led organizations, and take action, whether by amplifying voices, supporting grassroots efforts, or educating your own communities. As a starting point, check out the following Native-led organizations: • The National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center | niwrc.org • The Urban Indian Health Institute | uihi.org • The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women | csvanw.org
