🤸🏾 Curating the chaos! 🤸🏾
— a guide to working with kids in social design projects!
This zine was one main outcome of our latest project „Wilde Werkstatt“ which started growing last October in the 21. district of Vienna.
Over several months, we ran a craft workshop at our studio @schleifgasse11 , where we got creative with children, listened to stories and created space for young people’s ideas on the development of the neighbourhood.
But above all, we put ourselves to the test: how flexible are we in our project concepts? To what extent can we relinquish control and not only allow the unexpected to happen but actually embrace it?
The only thing we could really rely on was that nothing goes to plan when working with young free spirits. And that’s a good thing. Because it is precisely these disruptions that take us out of our usual patterns of thought and action and invite us to engage in truly creative improvisation.

💅📖 We’re so excited to finally share sNails Magazine with you—our deep dive into the anthropology of NAILS!
This research magazine sees nails as more than just tiny parts of our body: nail salons reflect care work, migration, and labor laws, while nail art challenges gender norms, identity, and (in)dependency.
To celebrate the launch during Wiener Festwochen, we’re bringing the magazine to life! We’ve co-curated sNails Studio with featured artists from the mag to turn research into experience.
🗓 Every Wednesday, 2–8pm · May 16–June 11
