Located just down the road from Petoskey Brewing and across from the Packy Offield - Top of Michigan Trails Center on M-119 in Petoskey is Spring Lake Park. A quick little stop that’s great for looking for wildlife, a quick picnic, and just a great spot to stretch your legs.
Also if you’re traveling along the Little Traverse Wheelway or the Northwestern State Trail (Petoskey to Mackinaw Trail) this is a stop along those two as well. 🚲🥾

Round Lake Nature Preserve is managed by the Little Traverse Conservancy and its trailhead is actually located at their office off of Powell Road.
This short trail is just over 1 mile and is an excellent little loop to see Round Lake via viewing platform. Relatively flat so easy trail for the family to get out in nature.

1. Petoskey Breakwall pier in Petoskey is a hot spot in the summer time but accessible most all year and great to watch the sunset
2. Harbor Springs Boardwalk is such a quick gem to get a birds-eye view of this quaint town ❤️
3. Avalanche Mountain Preserve in Boyne City is a bit of a hike of stairs but that view… you can’t beat it.
4. Petoskey State Park. I mean… that sandy beach speaks for itself. It’s gorgeous. And another great sunset spot. Also great for finding Petoskey Stones in the spring.
5. Lavender Hill Farm in Boyne City is most beautiful and fragrant in July, however, this little farm is PACKED with tons of events, concerts, and workshops throughout the year too.
