I was honoured to be asked by the National Labor Federation to contribute to their annual calendar - the proceeds (and awareness of which) go directly to help migrant workers in America, with bills, food, and daily challenges. the topic i was given was about migrant workers needing to balance paying for food or electricity. I wanted the painting to feel loose and energetic

Are some right wingers abandoning drinking? Seems like some in the alt-manosphere-andrew tate circles are ditching booze because its cope and as a way to distance themselves from lib culture. fuckin’ dorks. It’s wild when the right idea is so simple- just flipping one of the glasses so it cant hold booze seems so obvious, but took me hours and hours and pages of ideas to stumble upon - anyway - thanks Andy! You’re the best- new for the New Republic

One for this weekends Wall Street Journal, about contractors walking away from a renovation job midway, and what do you do? A lot of our roughs focused on the idea of ghosting but I really like the one they picked- a house kinda half built - for the homie @thedavebshow - I couldn’t decide what sky colour I preferred

or the Washington Post, about the anger (and violence) many are feeling regarding the rapid rate of technological change they’re experiencing in their lives, and in their jobs, that many of them dont want. It harkens back to the Luddites, who werent exactly “anti-technology” like they’ve been branded - but more willing to use violence and activism against the companies who were oppressing labour. If labour doesnt have a seat at the table, radical things can happen. There needs to be legislation, or bills to put a bridle on the tech or the people will revolt- huge thanks to the great @mkondrich

ew for Broadview, for a beautiful piece about restorative justice - the practice of offenders and victims agreeing to get together, discuss the crime, discuss the impact it had on the victims and their families - help the inmate understand the magnitude of their action, and hopefully, bring about some change. By and large the practice sounds transformative for both sides. Painted with acrylic Thank you Carol

Prairie potholes are naturally occurring, shallow ponds left behind by glacier recession across the American and Canadian prairies- they’re vital for birds, maintain a cooling effect in the ecosystem and promote biodiversity- the problem is, the occupy useful agricultural land- so farms are stuck weighing whether or not to plow the land, or leave these habitats intact - thanks Steve- you legend

The article was about farting, for Science News - apparently no one had ever tracked how many times people fart a day (34 on average) so scientists decided to study in, and created underwear that would tally them for you. some approaches focused on the underwear, some on the science, and some just breaking wind.

New cover for New Scientist - stronger for longer, about how to stave off frailty by strength training early. That’s the key to resilience- liked working on concepts that showed resilience into old age, and then the opposite a bit- fun one! Big thanks Ryan
