There is a profusion of these beautiful trees everywhere in LA. It is a Jacaranda tree and my dear friends Anni Domingo and Tina Andrews are both published by Jacaranda Books so this is for them @therealtinaandrews @annidom4 @naomisorkin.actor.dancer

This gadget is for home delivery -remote and without a human being attached. They are well behaved as it did not run me over. Also lots of driverless cabs which are being trialed in London now. Less work for human beings, populations increasing-where will this all lead @aimee_birnbaum @naomisorkin.actor.dancer @guymasterson @theplaygroundtheatre

The crypt of Santa Maria delle Grazie at Montecorona not far from our house in Umbria. It's where my dear friends Caitriona McLaughlin, now artistic director of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin , and Darren Murphy, a wonderful playwright, who were married in this crypt . @caitrionamcl @darren.j.murphy @naomisorkin.actor.dancer @aimee_birnbaum

SHAVING THE DEAD was unfairly overshadowed at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe by Olivier Award winner, Guy Masterson’s "other hit” - the eventual West End and Broadway smash hit THE SHARK IS BROKEN - but now, 7 years on, this dry-as-a bone, bible-black comedy from Perrier Award nominated comedian, author and poet, Owen O’Neill, rises from the ashes with Masterson and O’Neill themselves manning the hearse. "This is Waiting for Godot meets The Dumb Waiter meets Six Feet Under! To die for!!” (Edinburgh Evening News) ★★★★★ "One of the most humane and satisfying theatre shows on the Fringe, as well as what must be one of the funniest, with a powerful belly-laugh in almost every other line." (The Scotsman) ★★★★ "Laugh-out-loud comedy-drama at its very best!" (One4Review) ★★★★★ "Outstanding comedy writing. A masterclass in comic timing." (Edinburgh ’Guide) ★★★★★ "I urge you to get a ticket for this terrific show!" (The Scottish Play) ★★★★★ OWEN O’NEILL WILL ALSO PRESENT HIS NEW SOLO COMEDY- I COULD WRITE A BOOK ABOUT IT on Thursday- Saturday, 9 -10pm. @guymasterson @theplaygroundtheatre @aimee_birnbaum @naomisorkin.actor.dancer

Tomorrow night the 22nd at 7.30pm Neither biopic nor tribute, acclaimed Austrian playwright Peter Turrini’s bold solo play casts Hedy Lamarr as her own witness, accuser, and defense. Haunted by a seven-second nude scene that defined her public memory and moving from Hollywood scandal to scientific erasure, the play explores the fractured inner life of the icon and overlooked inventor: Nicole Ansari Cox is lending her voice to Lamarr as she speaks back to history with rage, wit and dark humour, reclaiming a legacy long reduced to image over intellect. @nicole_ansari @naomisorkin.actor.dancer @aimee_birnbaum @guymasterson @theplaygroundtheatre

HI on Tuesday the Spy Princess at The Playground Theatre-7.30pm Directed by Emily Raymond, drawing on meticulous research and the book by Shrabani Basu, Rebecca Lenkiewicz has adapted this novel which traces Noor’s life from her early years through to her arrest by the Gestapo, revealing the scale of her endurance under extreme brutality. Held in solitary confinement, starved, beaten and chained, Noor refused to betray her colleagues or even disclose her true identity. After ten months in captivity, she was transferred to Dachau concentration camp and executed on 13 September 1944. She was one of only three women SOE agents to be awarded the George Cross, a recognition of a courage that survived torture, imprisonment, and death, whose final word, “Liberté,” continues to resonate @emilyraymond @naomisorkin.actor.dancer @aimee_birnbaum @guymasterson @theplaygroundtheatre
