▶️Ètudes Studio X Maia Ruth Lee collection 💟 shot in her studio is SF . The guys that do Ètudes and I met on tumblr years ago, I consider them good friends and creative collaborators. Hyped to see this come together 💫💫
*2011 stuff- this was the first shoot I did for Supreme. I had taken a good skate photo of Jason Dill for @monsterchildren , he was hyped on it and told James to hire me. This was the first of many shoots @angelobaque and I would do together. We had a lot of laughs and adventures.
As you can see in the photos we had a great cast and shot all over LA, this was for @olliemagazine - I think it was only ever in print. The kinda cool lore in here is if you look at Tyler the Creator’s hands he has a sharpie cross drawn on his finger, I’m pretty sure he had that left over from shooting the Yonkers video which he had uploaded in the morning before this shoot . So while we are shooting he’s blowin’ up. I’m not sure if that’s totally correct but that’s how I understood it . @feliciathegoat Mainly it’s a cool memory and am still friends with a bunch of these guys. Thanks for scrolling it . ☮️☮️☮️

Through her practice, Lee engages notions of movement, language and resilience, in direct resonance with the Études Studio wardrobe.
Transposed onto garments, her works extend this inquiry, transforming each piece into a sensitive surface where body, landscape and traces converge.
Conceived as an extension of the dialogue we sustain with contemporary artistic practices, this encounter also follows the thread of Land Art, the guiding influence behind Collection No. 27 — Surroundings.
