First 3D illustration for the @nytimes 💅🏻
Exploring new tools as a creative is not about letting go of what came before, but building upon the knowledge and skills you’ve already developed and expanding your creative universe. Styles, trends and tools will come and go, but great ideas are timeless ✌️

Very honored to support my team @dfb_team with this dream project for @lufthansa ✈️
The aircraft will be sporting a special livery that sends a clear message to the world: Diversity Wins 🌍
My artwork stands for openness, tolerance, diversity and bringing people together.
Now we are taking this same message around the world!

This week, we’re introducing Peter Phobia.
A German illustrator, animator and skateboarder based in New York City, who brings bold, playful energy to everything he creates. Inspired by life in the big city, his characters move where culture happens, from global brands to murals and digital platforms.
→ What inspires your work?
Art imitates life, so in my case: New York, skateboarding and the immigrant mentality.
→ Your favorite detail in your cotton blanket ’Skaters’?
The central figure stumbling. He reminds me that not being afraid to fail is a crucial part of the creative process.
→ Your dream place to think and find inspiration (anywhere in the world)?
New York, the city I call home. The people here have main character energy like nowhere else.
→ What emotion do you hope people feel when they see your work?
The world needs more peace, love and joy. I hope my art can help with that.
→If you could design for anyone in the world, who would it be?
I already designed an airplane, so the next step would be a spaceship. Let’s make it happen, NASA!
