One of my favorite photos to date, taken in Göreme, Turkey in 2024. I like how the fold in the balloon runs across the horse’s back, and how you can see my shadow in the bottom left. Published in @fraymemagazine and exhibited at @blackboxgallerypdx last year. My first print at @photolab_nyc
Early Christian refugees fled the Romans into Cappadochia, where they built homes into the volcanic rock. They carved dovecotes (top left) into the region’s “fairy chimneys” to attract pigeons, as their waste served as fertilizer. In the bottom right, a park employee stores his motorbike in the shade.

Every May on the full moon, horseshoe crabs mate at high tide on Plumb Beach in Brooklyn.
The final image shows three crabs tangled in fishing line.
