2025 was a big year for me.
There were wins, and plenty of losses… But I hope I made the former really count and handled the latter with grace.
All in all I think it’s a year to be proud of.
Sophie and I got married! And spent the year surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family.
I finished year one of my MFA, and started at the Polka where I assisted on a pair of fab shows.
I’ve got a really good feeling about 2026.
I’m excited to get started. To keep putting myself out there and staying unafraid of rejection (although of course I secretly still am). Reminding myself that every loss I collect has the chance to be a win.
Happy New Year!
Bring on 2026
Anyway I’m going to try and post much more on here in 2026, so… Hopefully you’ll hear from me again soon.
Enjoy some pictures and videos. (If you took them and I haven’t credited you, I apologise! I could only tag 20 people so settled on tagging nobody)
31st July 2025 • I married the most wonderful person in the world
Feeling extraordinarily blessed to have been surrounded by so much love from our extraordinary friends and family on our wedding day
For anybody who wasn’t there we got married during a literal thunderstorm, which felt suitably poetic! It then suitably cleared up after the service to give us some nice sunny celebrations and photos later.
Obsessed with the photos by the inimitable @stevebarberweddingphotography
Thank you to every single person that was there for us on the day and who has in any way been a part of our little love story.
(Yes I know Sophie posted loads of our photos about a week ago, but I’ve been very busy. So real friends will just pretend she didn’t and act equally as hyped seeing them for the second time here!)
🤍🤍🤍
Sophie & Peter, the wait is almost over!
The Heavens opened up during the ceremony but that definitely didn’t dampen your mood! Surrounded by family, friends and a lot of love!
Congratulations you two! Here’s a tiny teaser!

First few weeks of the course done. Next, I’m off to Rose Bruford, where I will be on placement for the next three months.
•
The photo is of the houses in Gordon Square, where the writers and artists of the Bloomsbury Group once lived. Where John Maynard Keynes once had his library and Virginia Woolf her real life room of one’s own; now I go to swear incoherently about directing in class. This has been home base for the past three weeks, and will be whenever we’re not on placements elsewhere.
•
Looking forward to getting stuck in at Rose Bruford. I’m going to be assistant directing on at least one of their productions, which should be a very cool experience. That being said, I’ve heard frightening rumours from some of my peers that they’re shadowing tap classes as part of their drama school placements. So, please pray for me that I won’t have to do that!
•
I write this a few hours after making a presentation and my heart is still racing a little. Especially after getting the sign for one minute remaining, when I still had about 40% of my material to cover… I think it went well though, all considered. Alas, onwards!
Yesterday was my first day of the Theatre Directing MFA at Birkbeck.
•
I’ve been up since 4am, restless with excitement for day two and the next two years of this. Receiving the offer to be a part of this course feels like the result of literal years of yearning and working and fighting. And I couldn’t be feeling any happier than I am right now to be back making theatre again, at hopefully a higher level than ever before.
•
Sadly it does mean I’ll be leaving the National Theatre in a few weeks time after two and a bit years. In honour of my incredible time at the theatre of my dreams, here is a photo of me doing my best Andrew Garfield impression at our Gala back in May.
•
I realise I’m quite shit at the whole actually-updating-my-social-media thing, but I’m going to be trying my hardest to do it more regularly and with intention. I know it’s super important for building up my network and profile as a theatre maker, so I figure I should try and take it a little more seriously. Also it’s just lovely to keep my dearest friends, loved ones, and random old acquaintances updated with whatever cool stuff I’m getting up to.

Bring on the next two years! Bring on Birkbeck!!
Menorca • May 2024
I so rarely post here because I never have any photos of myself, but I guess I do today. Day 1 of Menorca.
1. Look at me walk, not at my almost see through white t-shit. (My eyes are up here)
2. Cala en Blanes kind of freaked me out because we could see all the fish swimming between our legs. So this is me trying to look like a big brave boy.
3. Cala en Brut, with the most crystalline turquoise sea I’ve ever seen. The fish were much bigger here, but it was way deeper so they swam far below us and were consequently less freaky.
4. Random lady photo bombs one of the nicest selfies Sophie and I have taken together. Shout out to random lady; may your skies be always clear and your soup never tepid.
5. Spot the cat.
6. That starfish in the middle is gonna marry me next year.
7. Honestly felt like a fucking ballerina doing this. I am the model of elegance. Tom Daley could never. (N.B. It was the lowest possible place to dive in, and I was scared to go higher.)
