Proud to share with the world a teaser for a television series, made in collaboration with @boisterousbarry and @boredxcore .
This short was adapted from a pilot screenplay I wrote at the request of BAFTA-winning producer @sophiejafrancis (In My Skin), when she was working for Emmy-winning production house Duck Soup Films (Lost Boys and Fairies). The script was praised by the BBC as ‘wonderfully funny’ and by Channel 4 as ‘a great read’. It follows the misadventures of an anxious, inept nerd attempting to navigate the world of gay dating.
Balancing crude humour with a serious dramatic arc exploring sexual repression and unhealthy relationships, Go Ahead, Block Me is an idiosyncratic comedy-drama with broad appeal.
