I started Dnceclub as a passion project after I left my job at google. Initially, it was to help out @moversbodega with rentals, and I had no intention of building some massive product. But as I kept building, I realized how much it means to me to be able to contribute to the dance community in this way. It’s been the most fulfilling experience hearing teachers and students say it’s made their lives easier and that this is something the world needs.
The more I built Dnceclub, the more it’s puzzled me that dance studios are still operating off of fitness platforms that aren’t built for them. How many times have you heard a dancer complain about Mindbody? Honestly, way too many times for how much they charge.
Dance is too important — we deserve so much more than just being an afterthought. Dnceclub is not perfect by any means — in fact there’s still a long way to go before it becomes a mature product — but it really is my hope to help push the needle forward in bringing dance to the center stage of the world.

idk what it was on this day & in this room.. but it was the most i had ever felt connected to music with my movement. maybe it was all a combination of bo’s words along with her movement, a release of recent frustrations/stress, seeing so many friends in the room, and/or a sudden wave of grief that stopped by? still trying to make sense of it all. but im grateful to experience this life and grateful for sam’s humanity and spirit that live on so strongly. i would not be dancing the way i am without him ❤️🩹🪽
