I am happy to have attended the unveiling of Prime Minister Harper’s official portrait. Great to see so many friends and colleagues coming back to celebrate a very special time in our lives.
The portrait unveiling brought together people from across the political spectrum in an all too rare moment of unity, respect for institutions, and a love of country. Moment like these at a time like this are to be cherished and, hopefully, replicated.
Wonderful to have my siblings and the next generation together for Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
C’est un plaisir d’avoir ma famille et la prochaine génération ensemble pour le noël.
Joyeux noël à tous!
Tomorrow, Nov 26th, is the Nova Scotia Provincial Election. Over the last few weeks I have been delighted to support a number of the excellent @nspcparty candidates. There has been a great response to their pragmatic, more progressive, “make it happen” campaign.
If you haven’t already, you can vote in advance polls today & between 8am-8pm tomorrow and support @timhoustonns for another term as Premier.
A wonderful father’s day with the family. Woke up to breakie in bed and the whole crew jumping on me. Later it was baseball, a wee swim, work in the garden and some more fun outdoors in the warm weather.
Couldn’t have asked for more.
Big crowd out to support the big win for strong local @nspcparty candidate Marco Macleod in the bi-election in Pictou West last night. His family worked the land in Pictou County for over 200 yrs.
Like outgoing MLA, Speaker, and Minister, Karla MacFarlane, he brings lots of wonderful human qualities & principal to the @timhoustonns team. Congrats on a decisive win!
Today, I attended the stirring send off and celebration of life for Brian Mulroney, Canada’s Eighteenth Prime Minister. There were glowing tributes from his family and friends at the Basilica in Montreal. Mr. Mulroney’s strong legacy of political triumphs and loyal friendship filled the air - along with music, occasional laughter, and loving memories.
Farewell Sir.

Adieu Monsieur.
