Finally completed a studio upgrade Ive been wanting to do for YEARS: replacing the haggard old ceiling fan in here that always destroyed the vibe with nice track lighting to spotlight all the gear and not make it feel like a cave (although still dimmable for late night vibes). All or my rooms have always had fans or other ugly lighting that I always felt the need to crop out of pictures etc. Its gonna feel so much better in here now.

Had an excellent time at Bruce Egnater's amp class this weekend. One day of building a highly tweakable 20 watt Marshall-style amp, and two days of circuit analysis, learning why every component is there, and how to modify it, and much more nerdy amp stuff. It sounds great and I can't wait to start using it in the studio to reamp your DIs!

How I reamp guitars. Multiple tube amp options, lots of pedals, 4 speaker options, 6 mics. This gives me lots of flexibility to tailor the tones to the DI weâre starting with, the role theyâll play in the mix, and the way they blend with multiple guitar layers for good clarity/separation and density/power.
