Zumindest sieht es hier so aus.
Aber die Wahrheit ist: Dieser Moment entstand, als ich an einem Tiefpunkt war. Nicht am tiefsten, aber nahe dran.
Ich weiß noch genau, wie ich mich gefühlt habe – als wäre ich hinter schmutzigem Glas gefangen und würde in eine Welt blicken, die echt scheint, es aber nicht ist.
Kognitive Dissonanz hat mich zerrissen.
Ohne meine Freunde wäre ich heute nicht am dem Punkt an dem ich mich gerade befinde.
Wenn ich dieses Foto anschaue, sehe ich jemanden, der leidet – aber trotzdem steht.
Jemanden, zu dem ich heute sagen würde:
Halte ein. Es ist in Ordnung.
Aber ich sehe auch jemanden, der nicht aufgehört hätte.
Und es war nicht okay.
Doch heute bin ich hier.
Und wenn du dich gerade so fühlst wie ich damals – dann lass dir gesagt sein:
Es wird besser. Halt durch. Du bist nicht allein.

My favorite guitar in my hands.
At least, that’s what it looks like.
But the truth is, this moment was taken when I was at a low point. Not my lowest, but close.
I still remember how I felt—like I was trapped behind dirty glass, staring at a world that felt real but wasn’t.
Cognitive dissonance ran wild in me.
If not for my friends, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
When I look at this photo, I see someone suffering—but still standing.
I see someone I wish I could have told, “Stop. It’s alright.”
But I also see someone who wouldn’t have stopped.
And it wasn’t alright.
Today I know it will be better. Keep up.
