Talking of doppelgangers, the winner of the Sunshine Coast Robert Irwin lookalike is close to the spitting image of the legend. Ben Marshall is a local and he not only looks, but can act and dance just like the real Robert.
No, I wasn't on the Sunshine Coast to arrest the English cricketers for crimes against the mighty game, but rather as PC Peter Plod, out to solve the dastardly death of the GM of the White Lotus Sunshine Coast. Needless to say, after exhaustively working through many red and white 'clues', we cracked the case open.

We had a spectacular launch of the whale season the Sunshine Coast, with a sound and light show called Tallo Billa which welcomed the whale season at Mooloolaba Beach. The performance involves using whale songs and Indigenous art by Lydon Davis and transforming that into a magical audio-visual show. Some 2000 people turned up for the performance. I just hope the humpback whales cruising by stopped for a while to listen!
50 years ago, Fawlty Towers burst on our screens with curmudgeon Basil and sabre-toothed Sybil's antics providing some of the best-ever TV comedy and worst-ever hotel hospitality. For such an important milestone, Leura Gardens Resort is staging Faulty Towers The Dining Experience throughout the year, and its debut last night was hilarious. The resort has gardens dating back over 100 years, so it had the perfect ambience for such a show, and the sell-out crowd had rollickingly good fun. The show is performed by an exceptional Aussie troupe, and last night's hysterical improvised theatre was complemented by a really tasty dinner, great service and fine wines - though not a Waldorf in sight! @leuragardensresort@thefaultytowers
