If you’re serious about starting BJJ or taking your jiu-jitsu to the next level, morning classes are now available at Sanuk Martial Arts taught by yours truly. “Who am I?” you ask… I’m an active competitor with multiple super fight wins in promotions such as Tap Tournament and SOGI, a multiple-time IBJJF Open gold medalist, and a top 10 ranked athlete who is still actively competing and evolving in the sport. But I’m not just about competition. I take pride in teaching and helping people grow through jiu-jitsu whether your goal is self defense, confidence, fitness, competition, or simply becoming a better version of yourself. I’m constantly learning, constantly developing, and always looking to sharpen my craft so I can give the best possible experience to my students. Let’s get better together and continue to grow on and off the mats. Morning classes available now. DM for details

BJJ is more than just learning moves it’s about building confident, disciplined, and resilient kids both on and off the mats. 🥋 Through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kids learn: • Confidence through hard work • Discipline & respect • Problem solving under pressure • Teamwork & communication • How to overcome challenges without quitting One of the biggest lessons jiu jitsu teaches is that failure is part of growth. Kids learn to adjust, keep trying, and believe in themselves lessons that carry into school, sports, friendships, and life. Every class is an opportunity to grow stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. 💪 📸 @peterpabon

Here is one of my favorite ways to counter the single leg using the kimura trap. When they commit to the takedown, use their grip and pressure against them, secure the kimura, and turn their offense into your advantage. Timing, balance, and control make all the difference. - - - #bjj #jiujitsu #jiujitsulifestyle #bjjlifestyle #jiujitsulife

You can teach anyone a move… But if you give them the concept behind the position, now they can create. Moves are limited. Understanding is endless. - - - #bjj #jiujitsu #jiujitsulifestyle #bjjlifestyle #jiujitsulife

Here’s another option when your opponent defends the Choi Bar. - - - #bjj #jiujitsu #jiujitsulifestyle #bjjlifestyle #jiujitsulife

When they defend the Choi Bar… transition. In Jiu-Jitsu the first submission isn’t always the finish… It’s the setup for the next one. Attack ➡️ reaction ➡️ transition ➡️ finish. Don’t get stuck forcing it — chain your attacks. - - - - #bjj #jiujitsu #jiujitsulifestyle #bjjlifestyle #jiujitsulife

🥋 Kids Takedown of the Day: Ankle Pick off a Failed Throw. Sometimes the best takedowns happen when the first attack fails. Today we showed the kids how to turn a missed throw into an ankle pick finish. #bjj #jiujitsu #jiujitsulifestyle #bjjlifestyle #jiujitsulife
