“Mother’s Day” is a tribute to my beautiful mum - and to every mother today and always. I didn’t plan this song, it just came out.
My mum died in a tragic accident and I never thought I would be able to celebrate again. How wrong I was. Through the grief, I have found joy. I still remember the night she danced her arse off until 5am, in a red dress with total abandonment. Moments of that night are in this track, and I am so grateful my wondrous mother is with me always. Everyday is Mother’s Day.
