I'm so bad about posting the things I make on here... I made this little 3-color linocut over a year(!) ago and I'm just now getting around to sharing it. I made this print as a challenge to myself - I was leaving at dawn for a mountain bike ride and noticed that the stunning orange/pink/blue fade of the sunrise could probably be done with a blend roll. Really happy with how this one came out! Swipe through to see in-process and the picture I snapped of the original sunrise I was trying to re-create.

Feeling a little emotional this morning after dropping my very last “Madonna Del Ghisallo” linocut at the post office, off to a good home… The original linocut, depicting the patron saint of cyclists, was created in 2017 in the form of prayer cards for the “Blessing of the Bicycles” ride at @trinitystl . Since then, the image has graced tee shirts, bike jerseys, posters, stickers, and more. The “remixed” poster version was produced in 2019 for Haute Velo, a bicycle-themed poster show in Miami FL (thanks again, @thesuperrookie !) As the final poster heads out the door, I’m reflecting on how far my printmaking (and life!) journey has taken me since I first carved her in ’17. I think, perhaps, I have a certain patron saint watching over me… Anyway, be on the lookout for some new and very exciting hand-printed, bike-themed ephemera coming off my press very soon! 🚴

Here's a fun 2-color linocut I recently completed for @greatriversstl Brickline Project - I was selected as a finalist to create banners along the northern spoke of the greenway that travels from Grand Center Arts District along N. Grand to Fairground Park. I had so much fun imagining all of the different folks who might benefit from this ambitious new trail. You'll also notice some landmarks from the surrounding neighborhoods in the background... 👀 Such an honor to be selected as a finalist for this project that is so close to my heart as someone who is both born and raised in STL and someone who rides their bike often for both leisure and transportation. Can't wait to roll the Brickline 🚴 Thanks @greatriversstl and @viapublicart
