Here are a few must-do experiences while you’re there: 🏛️ York Town Hall: Built in 1911, this beautiful heritage building is home to the York Visitor Centre. Stop in to grab maps, find out what’s happening around town or chat with the friendly local team for recommendations before exploring. ⛰️ Mount Brown Lookout (Wongberl): One of York’s most breathtaking spots, offering sweeping 360-degree views over the town, farmland and surrounding hills. You can drive to the top or tackle the 7.5km return hike. During autumn and winter, the valley is often covered in magical morning mist. 🚗 York Motor Museum: Home to one of Australia’s finest collections of vintage, veteran and classic cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, including vehicles that cruised the roads more than 100 years ago. ⛓️ Residency Museum: Step back in time and discover York’s rich history inside the last remaining section of York’s Convict Depot, with fascinating exhibitions and historical displays (open Sat only) 🍞 Old Flour Mill: A beautifully restored 1892 landmark that was once the largest flour mill in Western Australia. Perth’s pizza scene just got a serious new contender! 🍕 A brand new slice shop has landed on Albany Highway in Vic Park and if you’re into New York-style pizza with proper Italian soul… you need this on your radar. @LievitoPizza_ officially opened this week, bringing to Perth a delicious cross between New York and Neapolitan pizza - think those huge foldable slices we all crave, but made with incredible Italian dough, premium ingredients and the kind of quality you can absolutely taste. Behind the oven is Eddy, an experienced Italian pizza chef formerly from Pizzeria Da Leo. And his handiwork shows from the very first bite. The dough is light, chewy and perfectly crisp underneath, topped with gold-standard San Marzano tomatoes grown in the volcanic soil near Mount Vesuvius, creamy La Delizia Latticini cheese and a small but seriously well-curated menu of crowd favourites. You can grab pizza by the slice (they’re big 👀) or go all in on a full 20-inch pie if you’re feeding the crew… or just feeling personally ambitious 😂 The Hot Honey absolutely stole the show for us - spicy salami, jalapeño, stracciatella and hot honey creating the perfect balance of spicy, creamy and sweet. We also loved the Marghe (wonderfully simple but tasty), while the Funghi delivered everything you could want from a gourmet slice with fresh ricotta and truffle cream. The shop itself has that cute little hole-in-the-wall vibe with a few small tables out front, making it perfect for a quick lunch, casual dinner or late pizza craving. Slices are topped and ready to go just minutes, so it’s ideal when you want something fast but genuinely delicious. And do NOT skip the dips. The garlic aioli, three cheese and spicy nduja are elite crust-dunking material 🤤 And for the perfect finish … tiramisu. 📍 2/413 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park 🕦 Open Tues-Sat Lunch: 11:30am-2pm | Tues-Sun Dinner: 5pm-9pm (closed Monday) Thanks to Eddy from @lievitopizza_ for having us for a pizza feast! . . . . . . #pertheats #perthpizza #nypizza #victoriapark #perth

Crackling fires, country air and cosy vibes… this dreamy stay is the perfect Perth winter getaway! 🌾 Less than 90 minutes from Perth in WA’s wheatbelt town of York, @SunnyHill.Days is the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down. Originally built in 1870, this beautifully restored luxury farmhouse is full of charm, character and cosy country comforts - from the crackling pot belly fire and original stone walls to the rambling cottage gardens that look toward Wonborel (Mount Brown). The whole home feels wonderfully “perfectly imperfect” with thoughtful period styling, beautiful vintage touches and spaces designed for long chats, board games, reading books by the fire and simply enjoying each other’s company. And while it’s packed with history and rustic charm, it’s also incredibly comfortable for families, couples or a girls getaway. Sunny Hill sleeps up to 8 guests with two beautiful master bedrooms (one with ensuite), a cosy parlour, country kitchen with a working wood oven, gorgeous outdoor spaces and so many thoughtful little details throughout. The kids absolutely loved the bunk room and garden space, while we spent our evenings rugged up around the outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows under the stars with the crisp country air rolling in. Honestly, winter is such a magical time to visit 🍂🔥 And when you do decide to leave the house, the historic town of York is one of Western Australia’s most charming country places to explore - filled with heritage buildings, cosy cafes, quirky shops, pub lunches, river walks and stunning scenery. Australian Traveller just been proclaimed it one of the 100 Best Towns in Australia to Visit in 2026. But truthfully… Sunny Hill makes it very easy to simply stay put, slow down, spend quality time with the kids and just dream the days away. If you’ve been craving a peaceful country escape from Perth this winter, this one is seriously special. Discover the magic for yourself - book your getaway via @SunnyHill.Days website (link in their bio). Huge thanks to Georgie for sharing your gorgeous farmhouse with our family. ❤️ . . . . . . #Perth #perthstays #farmhouse #york #perthtodo

Perth’s newest bakery.... and it’s Italian!! 🇮🇹🥐☕️ If you’ve dreamed of wandering into a cosy Italian bakery, ordering pastries while the smell of espresso fills the air… this might be the closest thing you’ll find without leaving Perth ✈️ @Corso_Francia opened its new pasticceria in Como to much fanfare last month after years of building a loyal following at farmers markets across the city. Founded by Giada & Marco from Rome, Corso Francia is inspired by the traditions, flavours and warmth of Italy, even taking its name from one of Rome’s most iconic streets. Step inside and you’ll often hear staff and customers chatting in Italian while trays of focaccia and sweet treats emerge from the kitchen. Their speciality is Italian viennoiserie - pastries that sit somewhere between bread and pastry and are at the heart of Italian breakfast culture. And if you don’t know what a maritozzo is yet… prepare to become obsessed 🤤 These iconic Roman brioche buns are filled with clouds of whipped cream in flavours like pistachio, berry or classic cream. Not quite a donut, not quite a pastry… just dangerously good. Then there’s the cornetto! Italy’s answer to the croissant is softer and slightly sweeter with a crisp golden exterior thanks to eggs and butter in the dough. The pastry cabinet is packed with incredible cornetto creations including the Sbepts with peanut butter chantilly and caramelised banana, classic Pain Au Chocolat, fruit-topped Treccia, the indulgent Marco with mascarpone mousse & caramel plus the viral Bueno Cube and more. You’ll also find fresh cannoli, traditional Italian cookies, tarts, cakes, savoury croissants and generously filled focaccia. Even better - they have rotating pastry specials, so there’s always something new and delicious to try. Pair your pastry haul with a barista-made coffee or one of their fabulous hot drinks and you’ll genuinely feel like you’ve escaped to Italy for the morning!! ☕️ One for your Perth bakery bucket list. 📍 95/97 Lockhart St, Como 🕖 Open Tue-Fri: 6.30am-3pm | Sat-Sun: 7am-3pm Grazie to Giada and the team at @corso_francia for having us! . . . . #pert

ALL aboard Perth’s newest sushi train adventure! 🚄🍣 A brand new Japanese dining spot has just rolled into the northern suburbs and trust us… this one is dangerous for sushi-lovers with zero self-control 👀😂 @Kimura___Sushi has officially opened at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson, bringing their hugely popular sushi train experience north of the river after the success of their first Perth location, in Ellenbrook. And honestly? We went in thinking “just a couple of plates” and somehow ended up absolutely feasting. From freshly made Nigiri, Aburi and classic Sushi Rolls to hand rolled Temaki, crispy Tempura, Ramen, Donburi, Karaage chicken and their iconic Volcano Ship creations (available in scallop, salmon or wagyu beef) - the menu is HUGE. Whether you’re a sushi lover or someone who prefers hot Japanese dishes, there’s definitely something for everyone, including heaps of vegetarian options. We especially loved the salmon volcano, karaage chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken Udon - chewy noodles in the tastiest comforting broth. 🤤 And for dessert - the Japanese cheesecake and strawberry cake were the perfect sweet finish. Another huge tick? The pricing felt really reasonable for the quality and freshness. Plates are colour coded, making it easy to keep track of the damage as your stack somehow grows taller and taller 😅 The space itself is bright, modern and super fun, with plates constantly circling the sushi train while hot dishes zoom straight to your table on the cute golden delivery train. 🚅 Watching everyone try to work out “wait… is THAT ours?” was honestly part of the entertainment 😂 With grand opening specials already drawing huge crowds, this place is shaping up to be one of Perth’s hottest new casual dining spots. Local Tip: Download the Kimura Sushi app and join their membership to earn points every time you dine! Would you stop at one plate… or ten? 🍣 📍Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Clarkson 🕙 Weekdays 10am–9pm | Sat 10am–5pm | Sun 11am–5pm Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu to Jason and the team at @Kimura___Sushi for your warm hospitality our lunch feast! . . . . . #perthjapanese #pertheats #perth #sushitrain #perthfoodgram

An epic new family-friendly eatery in Perth’s east is now open 🍖🔥🍺 The wildly popular Perth smokehouse @RibsLane has just opened its third and biggest venue yet in Forrestfield - and it’s offering more than just ribs. Part smokehouse, part neighbourhood tavern and home to an in-house microbrewery (pouring beers straight from the source), it’s a huge new addition to the Perth’s foothills dining scene. We chatted with some local diners who told us they’d already been back THREE times 😳 and honestly… after our visit to this new venue, we can see why! You’ll find a huge menu stacked with small plates, burgers, smoke & grill favourites, steaks, wings, pizzas, combos and loaded sides… plus they’ve just introduced premium seafood to the smokehouse lineup. And the venue is designed with all generations in mind with a playground right beside the alfresco dining space - so the kids can play while you settle in for a feast! 👏 We sampled some absolute standouts including: 🦞 Flame-grilled lobster finished in lemon butter with fries (NEW) 🥩 770gm Rib Eye Steak with peppercorn sauce + chimichurri 🍔 Smashed Brisket Burger loaded with smoked brisket & BBQ sauce 🍕 Buffalo Chicken Pizza with bacon, ranch & mozzarella 🍖 Full rack of Pork Ribs with house-made BBQ sauce 🥒 Grilled zucchini on labneh with cherry tomato & pesto Washed down with an over-the-top thick shake, lychee cocktail and a fresh pint of lager straight from the brewery tanks! 🍻 If you’re feeling brave… they’re currently giving seven people the chance to win FREE ribs for a year if they can finish the mighty meat platter challenge in 15 minutes before 31 May 👀 📍 Hawaiian’s Forrestfield - 20 Strelitzia Ave, Forrestfield 🕚 Open daily from 11am-late Thanks to @MediaCircusCreative for the invite and the entire team at @RibsLane for hosting us! ❤️ . . . . . . #pertheats #bbqlovers #perthfoodreview #perthfoodgram #perthfood

Country charm, rich history, scenic walks… and one of WA’s best bakeries - all just 75 minutes from Perth 🥧🌿 Start the car - autumn is calling, and Toodyay is the ultimate day trip escape. Nestled in the heart of the Avon Valley, this historic town delivers rolling hills, golden light, and that unmistakable country warmth that feels a world away from the city. Originally founded as Newcastle in 1831 (before a name change to avoid confusion), Toodyay is one of WA’s oldest inland towns. Today, its charming main street is lined with heritage buildings, boutique stores, and cosy cafés - perfect for a slow wander and a step back in time. The best spots for the perfect day trip: 1️⃣ Pelham Reserve - sweeping views over town, peaceful walking trails, and plenty of picnic spots. 2️⃣ Coca Cola Cafe & Museum - featuring a massive, 45-year collection of memorabilia. 3️⃣ Main Street stroll - soak up the colonial architecture, browse local galleries, and country stores filled with handmade goods. 4️⃣ Toodyay Bakery - award-winning pies, cakes, and Australia’s Best Pastie (yes, it’s worth the hype). 5️⃣ Bilya Walk Track - a 6.5km riverside trail following the Avon River past bird hides, bridges, and historic sites. 6️⃣ Newcastle Gaol - step inside this convict-built gaol and uncover stories of Moondyne Joe and early settlement life. 7️⃣ Connor’s Mill & St Stephen’s Church - iconic heritage landmarks that bring Toodyay’s past to life. There’s even a Christmas shop open most of the year - because why not? 🎄 Whether you’re chasing crisp autumn air, a dose of history, or just a really good pie, Toodyay ticks every box. It’s relaxed, scenic, and effortlessly charming - the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. 👉 Save this for your next weekend adventure - the Avon Valley is calling! . . . . . #perthtodo #perthdaytrips #toodyay #avonvalley #westernaustralia

A brand new Italian spot in North Perth that’s the real deal 🇮🇹🍝 You can say grazie mille to us later as this is one you’ll want on your list!! @CiboNorthPerth is Perth’s latest opening from three Italian mates - Francesco, Federico and Emiliano - bringing a slice of their Roman upbringing to Perth, and doing it properly. There’s nothing forced about this place. Cibo Bar & Kitchen is warm, relaxed and genuinely welcoming - built around the things that matter: good food, great wine, and sharing it with the people around you. With a gorgeous bar, and comfortable seating inside and out, it’s the kind of spot you settle into without thinking twice. And the food backs it up. With an authentic pizza oven and hand-made pasta, there’s a quiet confidence to the menu. It doesn’t overcomplicate things - focusing instead on doing it well. We started with a Prosecco (naturally), then worked our way through a lineup that more than delivered: 🐟 Kingfish crudo with latticello, kaffir lime & pickled kohlrabi 🧀 Burrata with balsamic caviar, anchovy crumb & fried dough (a must order) 🍄‍🟫 Arancini - wild mushrooms, native thyme & truffle sauce, salted ricotta 🍝 Pappardelle with slow-cooked beef rib ragù & parmigiano 🦐 Tagliolini with WA tiger prawns, bisque & bottarga 🍕 Bufula Pizza with San Marzano DOP, buffalo cheese, prosciutto & basil ☕️ Classic Tiramisu to finish (non-negotiable) Pair it with an authentic Chianti or a crisp Sicilian white from the thoughtfully curated Italian wine list and you’re set. Not every new opening lives up to expectations - this one quietly exceeds them. If you’re looking for Italian that respects tradition without cutting corners, this is worth your time. Perfect for aperitivo, date night, a midweek pizza fix or a long Sunday lunch that rolls into the afternoon. 📍 323 Charles St, North Perth 🕐 Mon: 5pm–9:30pm | Wed-Thur: 4pm-9.30pm | Fri-Sun: 11:30am–10pm (closed Tuesday) Thanks to @taylored_au for the invite and the team at @CiboNorthPerth for sharing your passion for modern Italian food and wine with us! . . . . . . #perthfood #Perth #northperth #italianfood #perthfoodreview

Hidden in plain sight in the Perth CBD is a little building with some seriously BIG stories! 👀🏛️ Tucked away in Stirling Gardens, the 1836 Old Court House is officially the oldest building in Perth - and stepping inside feels like travelling back to the very early days of the Swan River Colony. What once served as the Colony’s court house, school, church and civic meeting place is now home to the fascinating @OldCourtHouseLawMuseum - and it’s far more interactive than you might expect. You can sit in the judge’s chair, try on wigs and gowns, experience the atmosphere of a historic courtroom and even create your own mock trial ⚖️😂 Inside, the museum explores over 200 years of Western Australia’s legal and social history, including Aboriginal, British and Australian systems of law. Through its permanent galleries and rotating exhibitions, it offers a thought-provoking look at how Perth and WA evolved - from colonial settlement through to the legal system we know today. It’s also an important opportunity to better understand the impact of colonisation and the imposition of British law on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, where Perth now stands. Whether you love Perth history, hidden gems, museums or simply discovering something unique in the city, this is such an underrated place to explore - and best of all, entry is completely free 🙌 Everything you need to know: 📍 Stirling Gardens, Cnr Barrack St & St Georges Tce ⏰ Open Tuesday to Sunday | 10am-4pm 💰 Free entry (donations appreciated) 👨‍⚖️ Interactive exhibits & rotating displays 🌳 Located beside the Supreme Court of WA (which by the way is also worth a visit!) . . . . . . #PerthCity #perthtodo #PerthHistory #oldcourthouse #perth

Perth noodle lovers… this new spot is worth the hype 🍜👀 Taiwan’s cult-favourite beef noodle house has officially opened its first Australian location in East Vic Park, and after our preview at @DuanChunZhen.au we can absolutely see why people line up for these bowls around the world. The hero here is undeniably the broth. Deep, rich, aromatic, it’s the kind of soup that instantly slows you down after the very first spoonful. Their signature beef broth takes 18 hours to create, beginning with an intricate process of stir-frying beef with 23 different herbs and spices including Sichuan peppercorns and Pixian doubanjiang before simmering low and slow with beef bones for hours. The result? Layers of flavour that feel bold yet refined, finished with a subtle warming Sichuan kick. Founded in Taiwan in honour of Duan Chun Zhen, a passionate Sichuan home cook who began selling her traditional recipes from a bicycle stall in 1945, the brand has grown into an internationally loved noodle chain with locations across Taiwan, Hong Kong and the USA. And now Perth gets a taste too. We loved how customisable the experience is here. Choose from classic, braised, tomato or Sichuan mala broth, then pair it with either chewy springy noodles, thin noodles or wide hand-crafted noodles before selecting your topping - from premium beef shank to tendon or the indulgent triple treasure combination. We also loved the chicken broth noodles served with fried pork or chicken ribs - pure comfort food in a bowl. And don’t skip the Taiwanese street snacks either. The Taiwanese fried chicken, pork cutlet fried rice, marinated peanuts and house-made pickled cabbage are all perfect additions to the table. 📍 1/1018 Albany Highway, East Victoria Park 🕛 Open 11:30am-2.30pm | 5:30pm-9pm Wed-Mon (closed Tues) Thanks to the team at @duanchunzhen.au for having us! . . . . . . #pertheats #taiwanfood #victoriapark #beefnoodles #perthfoodreview
