Team members from Person Centered Services took part in Clementine Gold Group's "5/14 Day of Service and Remembrance." The volunteers supported the upkeep and growth of a neighborhood garden by helping with weeding, pruning, mulching, and planting.
Today's city-wide day of service, action, and connection honors the lives lost on May 14, 2022 during a racist mass shooting at Tops in Buffalo, NY. Our thoughts remain with the families, friends and others connected to the ten people who lost their lives, the three who were injured, and the many more who were there that day.
We must all commit to building communities where every person, no matter what, has the chance to connect with the care, support, and opportunities that maximize their quality of life.

International Nurses Day is observed each May 12th in honor of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The date also marks the final day of Nurses Week.
This year’s theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” is set by the International Council of Nurses and highlights the critical role nurses play in strengthening healthcare, along with the need for continued resources and support.
Today, we celebrate the incredible nurses across our organization. Our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are trusted professionals who set the standard for person‑centered care and safety.
By coordinating services, managing complex health needs, guiding teams, advocating for those we serve, and partnering with families and providers, our nurses help more than 18,000 people with developmental disabilities live healthier, safer, and more independent lives. We're so grateful for their incredible dedication!

For years, Donte Naylor has been known as the “King of Ausome.” The Cheektowaga, NY high schooler embraces his autism and enjoys empowering others on the spectrum. Giving back and forging new connections are top priorities for Donte, as he actively works to spread joy in his community.
For a long time, Donte and his family ran an annual holiday toy drive. This year, the Naylors have taken their charitable efforts to the next level.
“Donte and I had a conversation about what’s next,” said Chuki Naylor, Donte’s mother. “He wants to go to college, so he decided he wanted to host a couple of events to raise money for a scholarship for neurodivergent people like him.”
April is Autism Acceptance Month, and the Naylors hosted three events during this time to fundraise for the new scholarship.
