Recording is as always done with the amazing @hop_house_studio & @drok.ogg All the mixing & mastering has been done by @skulltonestudios & @joelwanasek - It’s quite insane what these two gents have accomplished All the artwork you’re looking at, is by another well known artist in the Danish metal community, @frederikjensen_artist - He turned the album into something beautiful and yet haunting visually. Persecutor returnerer til Boringhell Fest i 2026. Tung, hurtig og ekstremt velspillet thrash metal er Horsens bandets specialitet, som de efterhånden har fremført bevismateriale for overalt i Danmark. Disse gutter har på deres nyligt udgivne 3. album Casualties of Violence perfektioneret deres højtempo thrash angreb, og anmelderne har kvitteret med stor ros. Persecutor har tidligere, udover Boringhell Fest, spillet på Copenhell, Odense Metalfest, Copenhagen Metal Fest og mange flere. Bandet skal også spille på den store europæiske metalfestival Summer Breeze i år. Bandet er lige nu igang med at smadre de danske spillesteder sammen med Koyä, og har tidligere supportet Hatesphere på deres DK tour og Illdisposed på en europa tour. Formed in Denmark in 2011 as 13 Bloodlines-later Desecrator before adopting their current name in 2016—the band sharpen their attack on Casualties of Violence (2026), their third full-length, driven by a focused and aggressive lineup. Wasting no time, Casualties of Violence kicks the door in with a short, crushing intro before 'Born in Blood' surges forward. Haunting melodies quickly give way to a fierce blend of thrash urgency and metalcore bite, building into a relentless wave of aggression. Vocally, the track shifts on a dime—razor-edged screams cutting through before dropping into heavier, more punishing tones. Then 'Iron Tide of Nassau' storms in, cranking up the pace and pushing the album into overdrive. The momentum doesn’t let up. The track hits with crowd-ready, unifying passages built for the stage, sharpened by cutting harmonics. 'Acta Est Fabula' follows with a stronger old-school thrash bite, channeling raw aggression and driving energy. Jagged riffs come fast and tight, clashing with piercing leads before “The Hangman” stomps in. More martial, more groove-heavy-built to hit hard and trigger instant headbanging. Spinning @persecutordk "Casualties of Violence" today. This is the third studio album by the Danish thrash metal band independently released on March 13. The record features 9 tracks with a total runtime of 31 minutes. It comes in a singlepocket outer sleeve with a printed paper inner sleeve. This is the standard black vinyl edition which sounds very good and the overall packaging quality is good as well. Musically you’ll find classic thrash metal mixed with death metal elements and plenty of melodic passages. It’s an album that feels aggressive but still carries a sense of harmony. There’s a lot of punch and forward momentum here driven mainly by very strong riffs. Lyrically it dives into cynical and dark themes like the depths of human nature, death and mortality, war, violence, and more. Recommended for anyone who enjoys thrash metal with harsh melodies and gritty vocals.
