„I have started dancing swing in 2018 with the main focus being Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. Then I discovered many other dance styles and am still thriving to learn more. Past years I have contributed to many projects, competitions, routines but my heart is in improvising and will always be. I love dancing with a group of people and you can feel the energy in the room immediately: taking back from the jam circle and giving back to it. This is all it is about, individuality within community, communicating without words, being vulnerable and trusting your body and emotions more than your mind.“

I have to admit it was very hard for me connect with the music this time, because of the unpredicted nature of the solos, but it was fun to compete with dancers with many different styles and I love dancing with 💘
I liked some things I have done here, like engaging more with what’s going on around me and trying to get inspired, or some rhythmic footwork i was playing with lately, but oh my god there are so many more things to practice! Watching myself in a more stressed environment (than home 😂) clearly helping me to see what kind of muscle memory and habits I have as we were discussing with @farooqisonfya earlier.
