The wonderful @rohanblacker of @pookylights fame has launched another game changer startup. This time it’s @schplendidsofas of which I’m very lucky to be a part. Yet again he’s proved that the way to reach consumers hearts, minds and wallets is to call time on the category bullsh***rs, corner cutters and rip off merchants and return to craft, integrity and 100% natural materials that will last a lifetime or longer. And, if and when they do finally give up the ghost, you can repair them easily or send it back to nature because nothing in them is artificial. Returning from a short trip to San Francisco and just experienced being driven in a driverless taxi for the first time and it was incredible. It’s definitely the future. San Francisco is quite an amazing place. The most liberal and liberating city I’ve ever been to. Apparently they say you can be anyone you want to be in New York, whereas in San Francisco you can be yourself. The whole place was just fabulous and full of incredibly kind and welcoming people. I won’t leave it 25 years until my next trip. #wow
