Uncanny, imaginative, playful, and thought-provoking, the exhibition brings together the work of acclaimed artist @permindarkaur  with highlights she has chosen from @ingramcollectionuk . Positioning her own work throughout one hundred years of modern British art, Permindar has charted a fascinating path through her life and artistic experience, creating a powerful encounter between past and present.  Exhibited artists: Mark Gertler, C.R.W. Final weeks of Strange Bedfellows @thelightboxwoking . My exhibition in collaboration with @ingramcollectionuk . It’s been a fun experience working with an art collection. I learnt so much especially about post war British art. Given me so many ideas for future works. Peter, our Head of Exhibitions, notes ‘Kaur’s sculptures often combine soft, toy-like or textile elements with hard metal structures. This contrast highlights the balance between safety and danger, tenderness and strength, childhood memories and adult realities.’ Hunting Chair outlines this tension. ‘Inspired by tall hunting chairs used in Swedish forests, Kaur’s Hunting Chair is a monumental metal structure that towers in the gallery.
