The work is based on the artist’s Turner Prize winning film, originally commissioned alongside the 50th anniversary of the first civil rights march in Derry, Northern Ireland, 1968. It explores the motivation for women’s participation in the civil rights movement, their invisibility in the historical narrative of time, and how it impacted on family life.
Part of Towner 100 Celebration - From 10.00am to 10.00pm to celebrate Towner’s 100th birthday! Throughout the day and into the evening, you’ll find workshops, performances, installations and DJs.
