This EP is a reflection on a year spent at home gathering myself and working hard to figure things out. It captures the dream like state often associated with home and self. I made all of these tracks by processing the sound of a Casio PT82 I found in a charity shop through my tape machines, effects and then resampling them back onto tape again. I then turned them into playable sampler tracks and turned them into this EP. Stream or purchase now at the link in bio!

It’s from a new EP that is coming out in two weeks reflecting on the last 12 months. I have moved back home for a period to give myself time. Time I have used to step back and attempt to recover my soul after it was broken by a few bad apples and some classic bad luck. This EP is a reflection on that and it was all made using a Casio PT82 keyboard I found in a charity shop.

Near where I grew up a giant obelisk sits in the middle of the woods over looking the valley. You can see from the top of the woods all the way to the sea and estuary. As a child it felt huge but all I could think about were the bodies of the men and their horses buried underneath it. It was peaceful and creepy all at once. I hated/loved that feeling so tried to capture it in this track.

we’re back at bar57 next week, distracting ourselves from the fact we’re not at glastonbury, with a special afternoon session.
i’ve been trying to get @ssslip___ in for ages. his productions via his @sss__________ imprint, and more recently @gridrec are amongst the best coming out of bristol, so i’m very excited to see what he brings to our afternoon session.
and very glad to have spool regular @perfect_combat_ behind the mixer for the first time, with a sun-drenched collage to wind us down.

Another one. This is an excerpt from a track on an album I finished up earlier this year. Currently figuring out how to trick someone into releasing it for me. The whole album consists solely of sounds made from processing the human voice. I think I was trying to make it sound more natural and tuneful than previous works and somehow it ended up mostly being longer and more distorted than planned. This is from a quieter bit.

Been really creatively stuck for a few months now. I’ve been trawling through old WIP ideas looking for good ideas that I should go back and finish! May put together a compilation or mix tape of some of the really long ones for those that are so inclined. Here’s an extract of one I was working on while in the states last year set to some footage from Japanese tv in the 2000s.

Sending a recording I made through the Quad Fx into the mixer then using the send to mix the signal with a @ehx pitch fork, delay and reverb before bringing it back in for a little bit of mixer feedback. Using the EQ to modulate the effect in and out while recording it back in to use it more musically. It doesn’t make much of a difference on its own but in the mix it makes a big difference. The biggest difference to the sound is of course made by the @lifterbristol sticker, which adds 5db of spice to everything 🌶️
