Enjoy this clip from the first movement of Korngold’s Much Ado About Nothing Suite, titled ‘Maiden in the Bridal Chamber’, performed by Emily Sun and Joseph Havlat in the beautiful surroundings of the UKARIA Cultural Centre in Adelaide.
Originally written for chamber orchestra, its instant success resulted in a series of arrangements including this one for violin and piano that features the composer’s typically lush Romantic harmonies and was often performed by the composer himself.
Watch this space for more clips of this beautiful recording in the future!
