As a student-athlete studying engineering at the University of Texas - Arlington in 1999, PER4MAX CEO and 3-time U.S. Paralympian William Hernandez started building his own wheelchairs, believing in a better way to build a high performance chair for himself and his teammates. Nearly 30 years later, Willie continues to lead design and engineering at PER4MAX, including the wheelchairs for Team USA’s Men’s and Women’s 2016 gold medal teams.
