If you donate $100 or more, or become a monthly donor of $10 or more before the end of December, we will send you a little sweet package in the mail! Peptoc merch just for you. :-D The donate link is in our bio!! The only reason our number (707-8PEPTOC) is still up is because of all the generosity of regular people who donate—any amount helps. The two of us, Asherah and Jessica, are still volunteering our time and plan to keep growing this project to make an even bigger impact! If you feel touched by our hotline and book, and are excited for our next steps (including putting up young people’s messages on platforms like BILLBOARDS across the United States!!), please go ahead and donate! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. #givingtuesday #peptoc #mentalhealth #hotline #donor

Hello! We are the Peptoc Project! Need some encouragement? You can call our hotline with pre-recorded pep talks from kids! Call 707-8PEPTOC (707-873-7862). These kids’ voices are from West Side Elementary School in Healdsburg, California. They didn’t know that they could make such an impact, and the hotline going viral changed the way they see themselves as change-makers in the world. It’s received nearly 20 million calls since we launched in March of 2022, with a million calls coming in last month! We would love to know what you think! Please share, and donate if you are able to help us pay for the hotline fees—we want to keep it available to all for many years to come! #peptoc #peptochotline #youthvoice #kindness #encouragement

These messages came from children. Created in a kindergarten classroom, these posters are simple, honest, and full of heart. In our conversation with Asherah Weiss and Jessica Martin, we’re reminded that encouragement doesn’t have to be complicated to be powerful. Through Peptoc, children are sharing words the world didn’t even realize it needed—and it all starts in places just like this. Try this today:
Leave one encouraging note for someone in your life.
Say it out loud.
Write it down.
Pass it on. 🌍 peptoc.org

What if the encouragement you needed most… came from a child? This week on Big Little Lessons, we visit with Asherah Weiss and Jessica Martin, the co-creators of Peptoc—a movement that began with student-made posters and grew into something far beyond what they ever imagined. What started in one classroom became a global project… and even a hotline where you can hear encouraging messages from children. It’s simple. It’s powerful. And it’s exactly what the world needs. 📞 Call the Peptoc Hotline: 707-8PEPTOC 🌍 peptoc.org #encouragement #youmatter #kindnessmatters #mentalwellness #spreadkindness uplifting positivity peptoc

HEARTBREAK CLUB: We are delighted to share this project inspired by our hotline, created by @abbyworld and @hjartebarnsfonden . It is a Sweden-based project that has messages from children living with congenital heart disease, offering support for the heartbroken. The story behind this is touching— We were contacted by Oskar, an ad agency director from Sweden who has two children with congenital heart disease. He wanted to create something from the voices of young people who live with this condition, partnering with the national organization Hjartebanrsfonden. We loved this beautiful idea. Slide 1 reads “you are beautiful” Slide 2 shows Oscar’s son, Bo, writing the number of the hotline on a heart. Slide 3 reads “is your heart hurting? Take a [number for the hotline]”

We love hearing how you feel about the Peptoc hotline! DM us with a message we can share if you feel inspired to. If you haven’t yet, we are going for our last bit of fundraising this year and your monthly or one-time (tax-deductible) donation really makes our project run! The link is in our bio. If you donate $100 or $10 a month before the end of the year, you will receive a sweet gift in the mail in the new year. One caller told us this: “I’m having a lot of medical issues and your precious messages make me feel better when nothing else does! Bless you all!” -Terri from South Carolina #hotline #donate #youthvoice #wisdom #gratitude

Poster of the week! “When life’s getting bad…go pet a cat!” Made by an anonymous high schooler in Santa Rosa, California Okay, so maybe you love cats, or you can imagine another type of animal you could snuggle with. :-) Either way, we think connecting with animals is very sage advice for a balanced life! #peptoc #youthvoice #peptalk #encouragement #cats

GOOD NEWS from the streets of San Francisco! Our project can be re-invented in so many ways! Two young artists from Sonoma County created wonderful Peptoc designs: Birdie (age 7, seen here singing ‘Pink Pony Club’ while she makes her poster) and Emilia (15). Birdie’s dad printed them up on 2,000 postcards (with the hotline number, too!) to share as they made their way on what they call a “Kindness Crawl.” A group of 30+ people walked five miles through the city with no agenda but kindness—offering roses to strangers, taping love notes to laundromat machines, handing out sunflowers at red lights, and giving free hugs on Market Street. Thanks for leaving the world a better than you found it! #kindnesscrawl #peptocposters
