đđśď¸ Bicol Express. Prepare the extra rice! The spicy coconut gravy aloneârich, creamy, and loaded with chiliesâis ulam already. That plus pork belly? One cupâs not enough.
Some Bicol Express recipes chuck everything in coconut milk to simmer together. To build flavor, we sear the pork belly first, cook aromatics in the rendered fat, then simmer low and slow.
* 500g pork belly
* 3 T minced red onion
* 1 ½ T minced garlic
* 1 T grated ginger
* 1â3 T sliced red chilies
* Âź c bagoong or shrimp paste
* 1 c coconut milk
* 1 c water
* 1 c coconut cream

đł Oyakodon. Whether youâre sick or just sick of it all, you still need to eat well. Make oyakodon: a comforting combo of simmered chicken, sweet onions, fluffy eggs, and hot rice.
Tip: Divide your eggs and cook them in layers. Whites first, yolks last. This way, you get more control over how runny or molten you want your yolks to be.
* 1 cup boneless, skinless chicken thighs
* ½ tbsp sake
* Âź cup dashi
* 1 tbsp soy sauce
* 1 tbsp mirin
* 1 tsp white sugar
* 1 white onion, sliced into half moons
* 2â3 large eggs, separated to whites and yolks

Try using original and spicy canned tuna together for this! Make sure to drain the tuna wellâyou want it to brown and crisp a bit, and liquid will get in the way of that.

- 3 packs pancit canton (original)
- 3 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp noodle water

Some describe Taiwanâs lu rou fan as Taiwanese adobo. So why not⌠chopped adobo? As in Filipino adobo with chopped pork belly, like lu rou fan, but with lots of garlic, vinegar, and Maggi Magic Sarap! @maggi_ph
Ingredients for chopped pork adobo:
- 600-625g pork belly
- 1 whole garlic, peeled & minced
- ½ c white vinegar
- 4-5 T soy sauce
- 1 ½ T brown sugar
- half pack (4g) Maggi Magic Sarap
- 2 c water
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 ½ t black pepper
- slurry (3 T water + 2 T cornstarch)
Proof this quick pantry sauce goes with ANYTHING: with CDO Cheesy Chicken Franks, itâs easy cheat chicken teriyaki!
To make the teriyaki sauce (good for 4-5 franks):
* 3 T light soy sauce
* 4 T mirin
* 3 T water
* 1 T sugar
* 1 t grated ginger
* ½ T cornstarch + 1 T water (slurry)
