If you don’t know this trick, your Lola might! 🍮 This is a recipe passed down in Ivonne’s family. The egg shell sounds silly, but it’s handy for making leche flan with any number of eggs. Make a personal-sized flan with one egg, or a barangay-sized one with idk, 20?? You know the ratio now, so you could!

🐖🌶️ Bicol Express. Prepare the extra rice! The spicy coconut gravy alone—rich, creamy, and loaded with chilies—is ulam already. That plus pork belly? One cup’s not enough. Some Bicol Express recipes chuck everything in coconut milk to simmer together. To build flavor, we sear the pork belly first, cook aromatics in the rendered fat, then simmer low and slow. * 500g pork belly * 3 T minced red onion * 1 ½ T minced garlic * 1 T grated ginger * 1–3 T sliced red chilies * ¼ c bagoong or shrimp paste * 1 c coconut milk * 1 c water * 1 c coconut cream * green chilies for garnish We updated our original Bicol Express recipe and made it better! 🍳 Oyakodon. Whether you’re sick or just sick of it all, you still need to eat well. Make oyakodon: a comforting combo of simmered chicken, sweet onions, fluffy eggs, and hot rice. Tip: Divide your eggs and cook them in layers. Whites first, yolks last. This way, you get more control over how runny or molten you want your yolks to be. * 1 cup boneless, skinless chicken thighs * ½ tbsp sake * ¼ cup dashi * 1 tbsp soy sauce * 1 tbsp mirin * 1 tsp white sugar * 1 white onion, sliced into half moons * 2–3 large eggs, separated to whites and yolks * minced green onions * shichimi togarashi, to taste * sansho pepper, to taste Full step-by-step recipe on pepper.ph, link in bio.

Try using original and spicy canned tuna together for this! Make sure to drain the tuna well—you want it to brown and crisp a bit, and liquid will get in the way of that. 💡 Always remember our cheater’s sisig sauce: Kewpie + liquid seasoning! Calamansi juice adds freshness, which is great for tuna.

Instead of mangoes in a mango float, try using fresh strawberries. 🍓 It’s an easy twist that makes a classic feel extra special and festive! Nestlé All-Purpose Cream is essential to a Pinoy graham cake like this one, plus it’s extremely easy to work with. 2 packs (1 cup) to 1 can of condensed milk is our go-to ratio! @nestlecreamph Ingredients for the strawberry float: - 2 packs Nestlé All-Purpose Cream - 1 can condensed milk - pinch of salt - 500–600g fresh strawberries, thinly sliced - 300g graham crackers
