Mid-Atlantic winters can be unpredictable, which is why the best time to prepare is before the first snowflake falls. We're here to help you safely weather the storm before, during, and after it passes.
Over time, grid improvements, such as replacing aging equipment and updating the local energy grid, have meant fewer outages, stronger neighborhoods, and the peace of mind that comes with steady service.
As pets shed their winter coats, that extra fur doesn’t just settle on couches and in corners.
It can also make its way into air vents, where regular brushing and filter changes help keep air clean and flowing.
Most filters should be checked monthly and replaced every 1-3 months—more often in homes with pets—to help your system run more efficiently and keep your space comfortable.
When it comes to energy use, it's not hard to side-eye the biggest appliance in the room.
But it’s in the day-to-day details, like how often they run, how they're set, how old they are, and whether they're ENERGY STAR® certified, that make a real difference.
Ready, set, innovate. 🚗⚡

It’s National Work Zone Awareness Week 🚧
Those cones aren’t just markers; they’re a sign people are working nearby. Slowing down in a work zone is a small action that can help prevent a serious accident.
We want you safe, and we want our crews getting home safely too.

Earth Month is a reminder that progress doesn’t have to start big—just with one smart upgrade that makes sense for your business. Pepco helps businesses take that step with energy efficiency incentives and guidance.
Our volunteers got their hands dirty at the National Arboretum with Friends of the National Arboretum (FONA), helping prep the Washington Youth Garden for the growing season 🌱
By pulling weeds to clearing garden beds, their work helps support healthier harvests and more nutritious food for D.C. public schools and other local schools. The garden also doubles as a living classroom where young people learn how to grow their own food and connect with where it comes from.
