The leadership of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors paid a courtesy visit to the management of Pentecost University as part of efforts to strengthen institutional ties and explore meaningful areas of collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in productive discussions centered on academic partnership, professional development, research opportunities, and industry engagement.
The visit also highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting excellence in education and professional practice. Discussions focused on creating avenues for students and faculty to benefit from practical industry exposure, capacity-building initiatives, mentorship opportunities, and collaborative programs that will contribute to national development.
As part of activities to commemorate the International Day for the Boy Child, the Church of Pentecost Schools Outreach Ministry, in collaboration with PEMEM and the Ghana Education Service, has organised a programme under the theme: “Flourish and Thrive: Investing and Unleashing Boys for Strong Families and Communities” (Psalm 144:12a).
The Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University, Aps. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua delivered a presentation highlighting the importance of intentionally investing in the boy child for strong families, effective leadership, and national transformation.
He emphasised that the boy child must not be ignored in conversations on human development, family stability, education, and leadership formation, noting that investing in boys is not merely a social responsibility.
According to him, boys need moral and spiritual values, guidance, education, mentorship, discipline, love, and opportunities to thrive. He further stressed that educated boys contribute significantly to national development.
Touching on the role of educators, he noted that a teacher’s words can either build or destroy a child’s confidence. He also reminded parents and society that children learn more from what adults do than from what they say.
He concluded by encouraging boys to live purpose-driven lives, stating that “the boy child trained with values becomes a man of impact.”

Pentecost University held its official Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Handing Over and Induction Ceremony today, May 14th, 2026, at the Phase II Auditorium.
The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership from the 2025/2026 SRC Administration led by H.E. Matthew Larbi to the newly elected 2026/2027 SRC Executive Council.
The event featured the handing over of instruments of office, induction of new executives, and addresses from both outgoing and incoming SRC Presidents, as well as remarks from university management.
We commend the outgoing administration for their exemplary service, dedication, and contributions to student welfare and campus life throughout their tenure. Their leadership has left a lasting impact on our university community.
We also welcome and congratulate the incoming SRC executives as they begin their journey of service to the student body. We are confident they will uphold the high standards of student leadership at Pentecost University.
