We spoke to Pentathlon GB athletes @emmawhitaker__ and @jameshulme1_ about what âBuilt not bought. 100% me.â means to them đŹ
From the work you donât see, to the values that matter most â clean sport is about doing things the right way.
No shortcuts. Just hard work.

Pentathlon GB is proud to support Clean Sport Week (taking place from 11â17 May 2026), the annual awareness campaign led by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) that champions fair play, integrity and drug-free sport.
This yearâs theme, âBuilt not bought. 100% me.â, celebrates athletes who achieve true, lasting success through hard work, talent and commitment. It sends a clear message: champions compete clean and donât take shortcuts.

Weâre proud to announce U Perform as the official Collagen Nutritional Partners to Pentathlon GB.
Â
A sport built on speed, strength and adaptability, where athletes move across multiple disciplines, placing constant demand on the body.
Â
From fencing and swimming to obstacle-based challenges and running, every session loads the same structures again and again.
Â
Itâs not just muscle. Tendons, ligaments and connective tissue take the strain and they take longer to recover.
Â
Thatâs why collagen is part of the routine.
Â
Supporting recovery. Supporting consistency. Supporting performance.
Â
Train hard. Recover properly. Repeat.
It's launch day for Obstacle Explorers! đ
Along with our friends over at Pentathlon GB and British Obstacle Sports, we're excited to launch Obstacle Explorers, a national initiative designed to bring fun, creativity, and inclusivity into school sport and physical activity. đââď¸ââĄď¸
Developed in partnership with schools, young people and exercise physiologists who have piloted the programme across the UK, Obstacle Explorers combine movement, teamwork and leadership through a unique set of challenge cards and activities. It encourages children of all abilities to get active, collaborate, and think differently about what physical activity can look like in their surroundings, embracing creative play in both built and natural environments. â¤ď¸
Pontlliw Primary School in Swansea, Wales (one of the pilot schools) reported âwe have loved being part of Obstacle so much, that weâve decided to include it in our Year 6 leavers assembly as we want to show the school how resilient we are, tell them of all the skills that weâve developed and that we are all true warriors at heart!â and that pupils have reported they are enjoying their learning so much, âit doesnât feel like a lesson, it feels like playing!â
To kickstart the movement, the first 500 schools to sign up will receive free access to the Obstacle Explorers resources and recognition as Founding Obstacle Schools. These schools will also have the chance to be eligible for an opportunity to attend a full-size obstacle course.

First comp of the season - World Cup 1 in Egypt. đŞđŹ
Good to be back racing after a shortened season last year due to injury. The level is high this year, which makes the battle even better.
Not the result I came for after a mistake in the semi, with the obstacles proving very costly. Taking all the lessons I can and already focused on coming back better for the next one.
Insane photos from @theuipm as always. đŽâđ¨
Grateful to be back. Far from satisfied.
