This video makes gilding look like a delight but it’s actually really f*king hard.
The glue has to set a little to become exactly the right stickiness for the gold leaf. Sometimes it takes 6 hours.. sometimes 14 hours if the room is more humid. Sometimes I stay up at night waiting for the glue to set wondering if I’d prefer a normal 9-5 job. Then I laugh, because thats ridiculous.
