Penn Carey Law’s decision to close the Office of Equal Opportunity & Engagement (formerly the Office of Equity and Inclusion) and pause the Sadie T.M. Alexander Scholarship is an unacceptable retreat from its proclaimed commitments to equity and inclusion. We unequivocally condemn this decision and ask for your support as our community navigates this challenging situation.
Come meet BLSA members at White Dog Cafe on Saturday, April 11th at 4:30pm. Ask us any questions and enjoy some light bites and bevs! We can’t wait to meet you

This past week, Penn BLSA members traveled to Nairobi, Kenya as part of our annual Pan Africa Service Trip — an experience rooted in service, solidarity, and growth. From engaging with local communities to gaining firsthand exposure to the practice of law in one of Africa’s most dynamic legal landscapes, our members returned with broadened perspectives on what it means to be a lawyer in an interconnected and rapidly changing world. We are proud of everyone who made the journey and grateful for the communities that welcomed them.

Thank you to @pennblsa for volunteering with @openheartscafe today❣️More than 100 people came in through our doors, many of them experiencing housing and food insecurities, that we served a meal to and filled their orders for urgent clothing and hygiene products to stay warm during these freezing temperatures ❄️ offering coats, pants, blankets, gloves, and shoes.
